“Young and the Restless” Star Jerry Douglas Died At 88
Jerry Douglas, who starred in "The Young and the Restless" for nearly 30 years as attractive family patriarch John Abbott, died on Tuesday. His 89th birthday was just after three days.
Douglas is survived by his three children and two granddaughters, as well as his second wife, actress Kymberly Bankier.
After college, he went to New York to study acting with Uta Hagen and Los Angeles to study with Jeff Corey. Douglas worked on projects with Josh O'Connell as a screenwriter and dramatist. He was an ardent reader and a lifelong golfer.
